Last week, in partnership with Gold Medal Safety Padding we spent three days in the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham for the Design in Mental Health Conference & Exhibition 2014. The conference and keynote speakers covered a wide range of topics from ‘POSITIVE SPACE’ – Clare Allan on Monday morning to Adrian Dallison’s ‘Mental Health Units – not just bricks and mortar’ on Tuesday.
We would like to thank all those that visited our stand from various positions/roles within the Healthcare industry and expressed an interest in Apex Safety Padding. We talked our visitors through the three main points regarding the Apex product;

As we have a number of visitors who have requested further information and/or to come back to this week, there’s no doubt we will be back next year and that’s due in no small part to how well the whole event was managed, so a big congratulations to the event organisers for a job very well done.
Recently Apex Safety Padding were in the North West of England completing an installation of safety padding in a special care school.
The job required making the final adjustments on site, a room that would meet & exceed the schools requirements for;
The site already had safety padding fitted but it was proving to be unsatisfactory both in its protection & durability and it was our job to completely remove the existing material prior to installing our own solution.
With just three and a half days to complete the works the deadline for finishing was looming right from the outset. As is normal in our standard working environments care and consideration had to be exercised to ensure minimal disruption was caused to the school and most importantly it’s pupils. When a safe space, such as a time out room, is out of commission for any amount of time it can cause issues for management of the school, with factors such as this it was key that the works were completed within the timeframe and that deadlines were adhered to.
As always the appropriate materials to complete the works were specified to the customer in advance, the materials we use have key attributes such as;
Flame retardant properties for foams and wraps
100,000 + Martindale test/rubs for all coverings
Anti-bacterial and Crib rated materials
The entire room was manufactured on site, this approach allows us to test fit each and every panel prior to final fitting resulting in one thing – the perfect fit and finish. With the perfect fit and finish our customers can be sure that maximum safety is being offered at all times.
