Apex Safety Padding received a telephone enquiry from a private hospital group based in Greater Manchester. The customer explained to us the room in question was for a gentleman with a profound condition, this resulted in constant head banging. The client was residing in an assisted living bungalow and in order for him to remain there, where he was comfortable and stable, we were asked to come up with a solution.
Due to the nature of the brief we set out to ensure the room in questions was padded to the highest standard and also made sure that all aspects of the room, such as radiators, light switches and plug sockets, remained usable.
A CRIB 5 leatherette finishing material was selected in a warming cream colour. The fabric chosen gave each padded panel a warm and soft touch while the colour complimented the rest of the decor.
A full radiator box was created on site and padded, with the addition of decorative lattice work across the face, meaning the radiator was still fully functional and saved hundreds of pound with not having to have it relocated.

Colour selection and our ability to always achieve perfect fit and finish provided our client with a wrinkle free installation and provided the resident with the level of safety required.
Due to the complexity of some aspects of this room our installation took two and a half days. We communicated frequently with the staff and were able to choose an installation date where the user of the room would be able to spend time elsewhere.
